About the Office of National Scholarship Advisement

The Office of National Scholarship Advisement (ONSA) assists eligible students in the pursuit of distinguished nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships. ONSA helps students apply for awards for post-graduate study and travel scholarships such as the Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, Goldwater, Truman, and Gates Cambridge. The Office also provides advice for several merit-based national fellowships for undergraduates.

Each year, UMass Amherst students become finalists and then go on to achieve some of the most prestigious awards for graduate study and travel, and for awards that bridge undergraduate and graduate school.

UMass Amherst was named a “Top Producer of Fulbright Students” among research universities for the 2008-09 academic year, according to a ranking published in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
