UMass student and alums win film festival

CHC students Haley Carchio '17 and Kacie Quinn '18 collaborated with UMass alumni Alex Kamb '15, Graham McLennan'16, Erica Desreuisseau '16, and Elena Nietupski '16 to win the 48 Hour Film Project competition held in New Haven, Conn., in July. Under the name Rascal Stray, the team produced "5150" a five-minute film about a seasoned cop pursuing two suspects. Selected as the Best Film 1st Place, "5150" also gained honors for the Audience Award and Best Editing. Alex Kamb was named Best Actor. The women on the team also won the Women in Film award.

The win has earned the team the chance to compete in the 48 Hour Film Project Filmapalooza 2017 in Seattle, Wash., in March.
