[ON - LINE] This 1-credit seminar is a blended, on-line course. In addition to the online modules, students must meet as a class with the instructor at least once a month. [Day & time TBA] To prepare students for writing an honors thesis, this class provides students with foundational knowledge and skills to begin conducting research in real-world settings with communities. Upon completing the course, students will have obtained a human subjects training certificate; compared traditional research to community-based participatory research; formulated a research question; written an academic abstract; evaluated professional oral presentation techniques; learned what makes a good poster for professional presentation; and gained valuable cross-cultural communication skills.
