Hear from two professors and their CHC students who have taken their learning outside of the classroom and into the local community. And learn how you can too.
Two programs will be featured:
Lisa Troy, assistant professor and Commonwealth Honors College professor in nutrition, will present with some of the students participating in Sophomores-Serve. Professor Troy and her students will share how they have practiced engaging with the community, while focusing on the links between science and public policy. Rising sophomores can now apply to join this program for the 2017-18 academic year!
Hear from history professor Elizabeth Sharpe and her students about the independent work they have been doing on and off campus to prepare the new Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum for its opening in Springfield later this year.
Pizza will be served. Please RSVP.
