What's New At Honors: 01-31-2012

Are you interested in studying in Oxford for 6 weeks this summer?  You can earn 8 credits (including 4 honors credits) by taking classes in history, political science, or literature.

In addition to the rich challenges of vigorous academic work, you get to live in a 500-year-old college (yup, straight out of Harry Potter), go punting on the Thames, and enjoy formal high table dinners once a week.  Commonwealth Honors College students are eligible for special scholarships, often up to $2,000.

Oh yes, and this summer, the Olympic torch will be passing right through the city while the seminar is in full swing.

The best place to find out about the Oxford Summer Seminar is at www.umass.edu/oxford.

We are still accepting students for this upcoming summer, although spaces tend to go quickly. If you are interested in applying and have further questions please contact Brian Ogilvie, program director, at ogilvie@history.umass.edu.
